Works: Reads public posts in full
Save Mastodon posts and turn them into steps
Last checked
Quick answer
To save a Mastodon post, open it, tap Share and choose DoSaveIt. We read public posts from any instance, using that instance's public API. Private post? Paste the text. You then get steps, notes and to-dos you can tick off, with one tap to your calendar or reminders.
Share from Mastodon to DoSaveIt
Open it
Open the post in your Mastodon app or on the web.
Tap Share
Tap Share, or copy the link to the post.
Choose DoSaveIt
Choose DoSaveIt in the share sheet, or paste the link into DoSaveIt.
The exact menus differ a little between app versions. On iPhone, copy the link, open the DoSaveIt web app in your browser and paste it into Add. You can add the web app to your Home Screen.
What DoSaveIt can read
We read public posts from any instance, using that instance's public API.
If it cannot read the post
Followers-only or private posts cannot be read. Copy the text and paste it into DoSaveIt.
DoSaveIt only reads what a logged-out visitor can see, or what you share to it. It never logs in to Mastodon for you and never works around a block. See what works where.
